24 Hours In The Grange Strathmore Hotel

Last weekend my blogger friend Katie (@Thesilvermermaidxo) and I were very lucky to spend a night in London courtesy of Grange Hotels, we stayed at the beautiful Strathmore Hotel located in Queens Gate, Kensington roughly a two-minute walk from the tube station.

After hauling two suitcase's around that weighed more than our own body weight we arrived at the hotel planted on the most picturesque of London streets, white houses so immaculately clean and well kept, now for a girl that lives in the countryside surrounded by lets say A LOT of mud and greenery, it was utter bliss to walk along such a beautifully crisp walkway that by nightfall was illuminated by traditional black lamp posts so well symmetrically placed. Upon arrival we were joyed to be greeted at the door by a lovely member of staff who whisked away both cases at once up to our room like they were nothing (but take it from me, he must have been super human, those things felt like bags of bricks!). We checked in and eagerly fled to our room to find ourselves in one of those ‘is this even real’ moments, our room was b e a u t i f u l  and had an fresh aroma of what I described at the time as a ‘Victoria’s Secret perfume'. You could say we were like two kids in a candy store!  The room had double height ceilings, two white sash windows flooding the room with light (a blogger must have) arched with beautiful full-length curtains stylishly pinned back giving it a very Georgian feel. The service we received from entering to walking into our room was impeccable like we had stepped into a welcoming friendly home rather than a hotel. We knew if we needed anything a member of staff would be waiting to help.

The room and hotel had all the features we could ever need, with a beautiful intimate relaxed bar area scattered with a mix of velvet chairs and sofas and a lovely dining room with a perfect little buffet spot.

The room was well equipped with a hairdryer, en-suite, tea/coffee making, tv, safe and three inviting beds with crisp linen! One double and two singles (perfect for keeping the double neat for pictures of course!)

Room service was available and the prices of the food were very reasonable, with a good selection of options.

Speaking of food, we had the most delightful breakfast brought to our room with fresh croissants and the most visually appealing fruit platter, accompanied by a little bunch of fresh flowers that smelt divine!

Katie and I had a wonderful 24 hour stay at the Grange Strathmore Hotel and look forward to returning very soon!
